Stay informed—UMKC faculty and research personnel are encouraged to join an ORI Listserv for the latest updates and opportunities.

The Office of Research and Innovation (ORI) utilizes its listserv as the primary—and in many cases exclusive—channel for distributing critical research-related communications. These updates include national research policy developments, UMKC-specific announcements, and timely information on grant and funding opportunities. By subscribing, UMKC researchers ensure they remain informed, connected, and equipped with the resources needed to advance their scholarly and scientific endeavors.

Sign Up for the Sciences Listserv

  1. Send an email message to: LISTSERV@listserv.umkc.edu
  2. In the body of the message type: SUBSCRIBE SPRS (your name) For example: "SUBSCRIBE SPRS Jill Smythe". 
    • The message does not need a subject line.
    • The message should be cleared of all signature information.

The software will automatically deduce your Email address from the message, so send the message from the mailing address you wish to receive this list at. 

  1. Send an email message to: LISTSERV@listserv.umkc.edu
  2. In the body of the message type: SIGNOFF SPRS.
    • The message does not need to contain your name.
    • The message does not need a subject line.
    • The message should be cleared of all signature information.

  1. Send an email message to: SPRS@listserv.umkc.edu

To receive only weekly "digest" emails from the Sciences Listserv.

  1. Send an email message to: LISTSERV@listserv.umkc.edu
  2. In the body of the message type: SET SPRS DIGEST.
    • The message does not need to contain your name.
      The message does not need a subject line.
      The message should be cleared of all signature information.

  1. Send an email message to: LISTSERV@listserv.umkc.edu
  2. In the body of the message type: SUBSCRIBE SPRS2 (your name)
    • For example: "SUBSCRIBE SPRS2 Jill Smythe".
    • The message does not need a subject line.
    • The message should be cleared of all signature information.
